Intern Bursary

For churches that are part of the Canadian Pacific District, we are pleased to inform you of the CPD Intern Bursary.

If your church is considering a pastoral intern, you may qualify for an Intern Bursary.

The intent of the bursary is to partner with sponsoring CPD churches so that the intern recognizes that the EFCC~CPD is making an investment in their future ministry. Therefore, the CPD intern bursary is given directly to the intern by a representative of the EFCC~CPD.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To qualify an intern must:

  • Be in a recognized Bible college/institution and serving in a CPD church to fulfill graduation requirements. It is the responsibility of the sponsoring church to confirm this requirement.
  • Any exception to the above may be considered by the CPD Board, the sponsoring church must provide a written request for exception.

The value of the bursary will be $1,000.00

The sponsoring church can include this bursary in its overall remuneration considerations.

At some point during the internship someone (host pastor/board member/area rep/district superintendent) will have an opportunity to present this bursary and discuss the values and distinctives of the EFCC with the bursary recipient.

To apply:

A member church must send a letter to the CPD Board stating the name of the individual, the length of the time the intern will be serving the local church and the type of ministry experience the intern will receive. The application letter must also state that this person meets all the requirements under the qualifications outline above.

Application letters should be mailed to:

Good News Grant

The EFCC~CPD has been emphasizing ‘Revitalize – getting back to being a Gospel sharing people’.

We have been putting practical support into this important emphasis and want to remind you of an incentive that would encourage our District churches to dream, plan and put evangelism into practice.

The CPD has made grants available to District churches for up to $1,000.00 for evangelism proposals.

These should include:

  1. A new initiative of evangelism – not something you are already doing
  2. An initiative that includes some means of sharing the Gospel message with non-church people
  3. A church Board approved, plus communication to and prayer support from, your congregation
  4. An initiative that connects with non-church people – not just a church event that you hope people will come to

    Your written proposal to the district needs to outline the following:

    * Your plan
    * The financial amount needed
    * A time-frame
    * How the Gospel message will be shared

    Send your proposal letter to:
